The Gateway Region YMCA has an immediate opening for a Cause-Driven leader to provide leadership to the Carondelet Park Rec Complex. This is one of the Gateway Region YMCA’s largest branches with 76,000 square foot facility. It built in 2009 in collaboration with the City of St. Louis Parks and Recreation department prominently in Carondelet Park on the south side of the city. It includes both and indoor and outdoor water park attractions, full fitness center, gym, and serves over 4,000 full membership units, or over 12,000 people. This is a diverse community with wide ranging socio-economic demographics and variety of international cultures. - This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the direction of the District Vice President the selected candidate oversees the total operation of the Carondelet Park Rec Complex branch, including membership, marketing, programs, before and after child care, facilities, volunteer and staff development, financial development, community relations and collaborations with community agencies.
- Candidates must demonstrate successful experience in project management, staff supervision/training, program development, fiscal management, volunteer development, board development, and fundraising. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills along with a proven track record of staff development, community partnerships, program supervision and fundraising.
- YUSA Organizational Leader Status preferred
- 6 or more years of management experience in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency
- 3 years of Executive Leadership experience
- $2,000,000 minimum budget experience
