The Executive Director will be responsible for the administration of the Red Bank facility and Camp Zehnder including fiscal management, financial development, and overall operations in accordance with policies, procedures and standards set by The Community YMCA.  

Based in Red Bank, NJ, The Red Bank YMCA is a $4.5 million branch serving 7,600 members annually with an additional 1,600 program participants.  Camp Zehnder is a 144 acre camp located in Wall, NJ and offers year round Aquatics programs, serving 1,700 participants annually.    

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for overall membership and program growth
  • Responsible for developing and implementing branch operating plan that aligns with the Association’s strategic plan  
  • Effectively supervises and develops branch employees and volunteers 
  • Develops strategies to build an exceptional culture and to motivate the Y’s team members and volunteers to achieve their goals
  • Leads Annual Campaign and other fundraising activities to support the branch 
  • Represents and promotes the Y in the local community by developing strategic working and collaborative relationships with other organizations, businesses and governmental agencies 
  • Develops an effective volunteer advisory council including recruitment of council members that represent the communities served.   
  • Effectively develops and manages a strong volunteer and committee structure for the Red Bank branch
Educational Background: 
A Bachelor's degree in related field 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum five years of management level experience or comparable experience 
  • Passionate commitment to the YMCA mission
  • Knowledge of all aspects of operations including effective staff supervision and development, successful membership practices, quality program development and implementation, volunteerism, financial development and facility management 
  • Ability to relate to diverse groups of people from all socioeconomic segments of the community 
  • Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with branch volunteers, business and civic leaders, and give dynamic leadership to volunteers, staff and the community
  • Must have ability to exercise appropriate independent judgment to assess facts and make recommendations regarding day to day operational issues 
  • Must have visual, physical, and auditory ability to act swiftly in emergency situations 
Compensation/Benefits: 

 

Salary: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00
