Under the supervision of the Executive Director of the Dover Foundation YMCA, and in partnership with the Executive of the Ruby Hunt YMCA, the Sr. Director of Family Programs will oversee all aspects of the Dover Foundation, Ruby Hunt and Rutherford YMCA after school, summer camp, teen and family programs.  

We are looking for an individual who has the ability to lead and inspire staff, children, parents and peers. This leader will have a heart for ALL children and directly impact the lives of children and families. Previous experience with the YMCA is preferred.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide leadership to the Ruby Hunt, Dover Foundation and Rutherford YMCA Summer Camp, After School, School’s Out Specials, Kid’s Night Out, Father – Daughter Dance and Leaders Club Programs
  • Supervise Part Time Coordinators at the Program Sites
  • Creation of family programs registration materials on the web site and in Daxko Recruit, hire and train all family programs staff and volunteers.
  • Provide support to the “We Build People” campaign and serve as a campaign team leader in raising funds for the YMCA’s Youth and Teen Programs. 
  • Direct and lead the program evaluation process
  • Produce regular participant communication of timely newsletters, emails, and phone calls.
  • Plans and Implements after school and summer curriculum         
Educational Background: 
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
Skills/Experience: 
  • Prior supervisory, management and budget experience required
  • Experience coordinating and directing School age child care programs (summer day camp and after school activities)
  • A strong knowledge of School Age Child Care management policy and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • YMCA Experience Preferred – Team Leader Certification
Compensation/Benefits: 

$36,000.00 - $40,000.00
