Responsible for managing operational aspects of chapter(s).  Provides leadership for a variety of strategies designed to create cost effective solutions and chapter efficiencies related to programs and operations.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage select HR functions for the field including updating time off requests, posting open positions, scheduling interviews, candidate screenings, obtaining and ensuring the completion of all related HR paperwork, onboarding, training, performance reviews for direct reports, etc.
  • Oversee purchasing function of chapters, monitoring operational expenses, including approving invoices as needed, submitting requisitions, monitoring purchase orders, and soliciting bids from multiple vendors.
  • Review and approve field expense reports for accuracy as needed.
  • Lead campaign staff in regular review and analysis of financial reports to ensure accuracy and budget performance.
  • Responsible for annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
  • Project management
  • Manage chapter facilities, including security, furniture, and vendor relationships (e.g. phone company, office equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide administrative management of chapter office supplies and business equipment including inventory for insurance purposes.
  • Primary contact with building management for the chapter offices and work with national office regarding lease agreements.
  • Maintain floor plans and provide training on safety and evacuation procedures.
  • Coordinate office moves, expansions, and/or remodels as necessary.
  • Responsible for management of chapter(s) volunteer recruitment and onboarding/off-boarding
  • Coordinate and maintain the chapter's accounting & financial records, and the preparation of its financial reports (e.g. accounts payable/receivable, deposits, bank reconciliations, monthly income and expense statements, etc.).
  • Supports the Executive Director as needed in the preparation of board meetings.
  • Manage select IT functions for chapters including troubleshooting, local technical support, serving as chapter IT contact for national office, etc.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the field and campaign fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide on-site support for fundraising events as needed.
  • May assist other chapter offices as needed under the direction of the Field Operations team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3-5 years operations and/or accounting experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Solid accounting skills (e.g., Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable).
  • Excellent MS Office Suite and database management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Solid negotiating and analytical skills
  • Experience with standard business machines and computers
  • Professional and sound judgment

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Occasional weekend & evening work required as needed at events
  • Possible minimal travel to support other chapters as needed
