POSITION OVERVIEW

UPDATE: This is now a Full-Time, non-exempt position eligible for company group benefits. This position is anticipated to work approximately 40 hours/week with hours increasing during the summer season and decreasing in the winter months. Flexible hours, excluding events.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate pre-event volunteer duties; verification of volunteer assignments
- Responsible for event packet preparation, packet pickups and packet mailings
- Coordinate volunteer needs with event staff
- Coordinate on-site volunteer duties at events
- Manage office volunteers
- Manage, cultivate and steward relationships with all Cascade Bicycle Club volunteers
- Function as the organization’s point of contact for current and potential volunteers
- Recruit volunteers into service opportunities
- Create and implement volunteer appreciation and recognition events
- Track hours and outcomes of volunteer engagement through the management of Cascade’s database and optimize engagement based on these findings
- Assess organizational needs for volunteers in conjunction with other departments and fulfill volunteer initiatives with outside partners
- Oversee the management of Cascade’s volunteer database
- Report for evening and weekend work as required
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Project management and/or scheduling experience
- Volunteer coordination experience preferred
- Proactive problem solver
- An interest in and commitment to Cascade Bicycle Club’s mission
- Interest in recreational riding
- Excellent planning and organizational skills and high level attention to detail
- Ability to operate desktop computer, including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
- Excellent customer service skills; able to interface well with the public and work effectively with multiple stakeholders on numerous projects
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Flexible, hard-working, self-starter and ability to work independently; must meet deadlines, be attentive to detail and have the ability to manage multiple projects
- Willing to work frequent evenings and weekends
- Confidentiality of utmost importance
- Associate degree or comparable experience preferred
HOURLY WAGE:
$20.68

Due to the large-scale nature of events and their importance to the fiscal well being of Cascade and WA Bikes, staff members are required to work several events a year, a mix of mandatory all-hands events and choice events. This position will also require evening and weekend work.
