We are looking for a visionary, entrepreneurial, results-oriented leader with 8-10 years’ experience in digital strategy and execution. You must have proven success of driving results through effective web strategy. We have aggressive, yet achievable goals over the next few years so the ideal candidate is a digital unicorn with demonstrated organizational impact, a track record of leadership success, project management acumen, and digital analytical skills.

As the Senior Director. Digital you will develop and manage a small team of vendors and internal employees to drive world class UX and design, digital revenue, traffic and conversion, analytics and testing, content and process for our family of sites and mobile app. This role is a strategic doer – able to lead others and roll up your sleeves to get things done with limited resources.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Build, develop and manage the web resources to drive roadmap for UX and design, analytics and testing, content and technology.
  • Working within the Association Marketing team, across all branches and programs, as well as philanthropy and volunteerism, execute website strategies and digital campaign support to achieve conversion, lead generation and sales/donation/volunteer related business goals.
  • Help define and execute mobile vision, architecture and roadmap and process for the highest impact possible.
  • Design and optimize UX flows for lead generation, prospect conversion and content consumption using appropriate analysis, testing and/or research .
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure API and/or backend infrastructure integration with other key platforms (ie Volunteer Matters, ActiveNet and Raiser’s Edge)
  • Work with stakeholders to drive and set quarterly roadmap and prioritize-business initiatives.
  • Continually improve the website and mobile properties to keep content and user experiences fresh, engaging and related to our products, campaigns and messaging.
  • Provide guidance and best practices to both internal marketing teams, branch teams and Y Network counterparts as appropriate
  • Lead OPEN Y initiatives for the YGS Association
  • Analyze, report on and continually improve performance, scalability and stability of all web properties and technology applications.
  • Define and own reporting for web-marketing key performance indicators across all web properties and activities, including SEO, customer acquisition, awareness, engagement, conversion, and work with counterparts to drive improvements
  • Manage 1 Digital Marketing Content Manager
  • Other marketing duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, computer engineering, web design or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 8-10 years’ experience in digital marketing/ or related field including proven experience developing, executing and representing web strategy.
  • Experience in project management of large scale web and mobile app launches
  • Strong understanding of the web development life-cycle including requirements gathering, feedback, roadmap development and release schedules
  • Demonstrated aptitude and success in managing mobile and web application development teams, including leadership of multi-discipline, high performance work groups.
  • Technical expertise with enterprise CMS such as Drupal 8
  • Highly proficient in the use of JIRA and/or Basecamp
  • Strong knowledge of modern web, mobile, as well as marketing technologies and processes.
  • A track record of successfully working with business partners and building roadmaps. Ability to work in an inclusive and collaborative manner with a wide range of work styles/perspectives.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated organizational, project management, analytical, critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of modern web and marketing technologies and processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to look at the broader perspective as it relates to business strategy
  • Strong interpersonal skills, influence management and collaborative working style – ability to inspire, motivate and lead cross-functional teams to achieve goals
  • Results driven, ensuring short-term goals are achieved that support long-term initiatives
  • Entrepreneurial and energetic – engaged in new trends and ideas, keeps abreast of digital innovations; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and bring clarity and structure to ambiguous situations
  • Diligent about the details; gets hands dirty – enjoys rolling up sleeves and figuring things out!
