The Evalyn Sadlier Jones Branch of the Sarasota Family YMCA is hiring an experienced Facilities Manager.  The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily and long-term functioning of the branch and its grounds.  The individual in this position performs and oversees all routine maintenance in order to keep the facility safe, clean and functioning properly for all members, program participants and staff.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Works closely with Executive Director and Branch Management team to ensure the branch appearance and maintenance needs are met. 
  • Responsible for the occupancy budget. 
  • Schedules, monitors and directs housekeeping and maintenance staff. 
  • Manages the project list for repairs and maintenance. 
  • Performs routine inspections. 
  • Establishes and tracks work orders. 
  • Provides routine maintenance on HVAC, makes minor electrical and plumbing repairs. 
  • Provides pool equipment maintenance and repairs, does carpentry, painting and repair work. 
  • Assesses vendor and contractor performance.
Educational Background: 
High school diploma or equivalent required.  
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of five years' experience in facility and property maintenance.  
  • Previous supervisory experience. 
  • Certified Pool Operator certification preferred.
