Key position within the HR/RM department for the Sarasota Family YMCA.  Must have experience with Human Resources and Risk Management.  Key responsibilities include. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

Risk Management:

  • Management and decision making for association’s insurance to include – liability, property, equipment, accident, and worker’s compensation; manages all claims reporting and coordination with legal and/or insurance carriers; maintains and manages approved drivers program, drug testing program, reviews and addresses all incident reports and handles safety and risk issues for the association.  Consults with management on all areas of risk and acts as expert in reducing risk to the association.  Ensures Child Abuse Prevention and all related trainings and policies are up to date and followed.  Resource to the association in all areas of risk.

Human Resources:

  • Manage the recruitment function for the association to include staffing, onboarding and job descriptions.  Approves and manages all YMCA leave programs- FMLA, ADA, Workers Comp.  Has knowledge of policies and employment laws and assists the department in maintaining compliance. Provides back-up and support in all areas of Human Resources when needed.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 + years of supervisory/management experience in Human Resources with experience in Risk Management.
