Under direction of the COO, the Facility Director is responsible for managing the facility department to ensure the facility, equipment and grounds are safe, clean and functioning properly for all members, guests and staff. This person will oversee all routine maintenance and inspections, necessary repairs, and cleanliness of the facility. This individual will also have oversight of service vendors, contractors and supervision of housekeeping staff.
Fiscal Management and Control:
- Responsible for the development, control and monitoring of the department budget.
- Order and monitor inventories for maintenance supplies, equipment and building needs.
Staff Management:
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate housekeeping staff.
- Assure a culture of safety and compliance with all risk management procedures and policies.
- Develop and keep current job descriptions with performance standards and employee records for all housekeeping staff.
- Provide and maintain work schedules for all housekeeping staff with assigned tasks.
Equipment/Facility Cleanliness and Repair:
- Monitor facility and grounds daily and address any safety, cleanliness or repair issues promptly.
- Prioritize, coordinate and schedule projects to be completed with minimal disruption in service to members.
- Oversee basic installation, maintenance, and repairs to buildings and systems including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, fixtures, lighting and HVAC troubleshooting.
- Assure supplies and equipment are on hand and in good working order, storing in an organized and neat manner.
- Assure state and building regulations and laws are enforced and followed according to ADA, OSHA and general safety compliance standards.
- Ensure staff is properly trained in safety procedures for proper operation of equipment and cleaning methods.
Preventive Maintenance and Fixed Assets Program:
- Develop a preventive maintenance program and implement for each segment of the building, grounds and equipment.
- Maintain a timetable log recording all necessary repair information and reports.
Maintenance of Facility Grounds:
- Develop and implement a plan for daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of the grounds, including entranceways, planters, parking structure and watering systems.
Other Duties:
- Maintain accurate records on all equipment and facility maintenance utilizing Facility Dude work order software.
- Assist with setting up meetings and special events.
- Interact professionally and work cooperatively with other departments and agencies to ensure a quality experience for members and guests.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, fundraising efforts, and attend training sessions as requested.
- Supervisory experience and ability to work as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and basic maintenance.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, exercise sound judgment and initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure, effectively problem-solve and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to relate to diverse populations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel; ability to use Facility Dude (work order software)
- Must have the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job including lifting or moving heavy equipment in a safe manner.
- CPR/AED certification required.
- Valid driver's license.
Salary: $54,000.00 - $60,000.00
