The Marketing Manager will develop and implement tactics for the New Mexico chapter’s strategic annual marketing plan, and will provide marketing support and guidance to other states within the Field Marketing Network, as directed. Directly responsible for successful completion of projects and managing project budgets.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and implementing strategic marketing programs designed to advance the Conservancy’s guiding marketing strategies to increase revenue and influence and enhance reputation. S/he manages all aspects of the New Mexico marketing program and ensures that the creative work reflects the positioning, platform and voice of the organization’s marketing objectives and meets client/internal partner needs. S/he implements operational delivery of branding principles whether applied internally or outbound. S/he will establish and nurture good working relationships with key constituents including chapter staff, field offices, division staff, outside consultants, and other key stakeholders to ensure delivery of marketing goals. S/he will coordinate and manage project resources proactively.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Develops strategic annual marketing plan in collaboration with program leadership and aligned with organizational marketing goals.
- Organizes, manages and coordinates diverse projects and activities.
- Does not supervise any staff but will coordinate the work of peers on departmental project teams.
- Works within a budget to complete a project.
- Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.
- Responsibility and accountability for meeting marketing plan goals and objectives.
- Writes and edits print publications and digital outreach tools.
- Develops presentations for chapter leadership.
- Takes initiative to resolve complex issues either collaboratively or independently, as needed.
- Opportunity to act independently on assigned tasks and projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum 5 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Client management and account relationship experience working with executives and senior management.
- Experience implementing, and managing multiple complex projects.
- Experience managing external design and production vendors.
- Experience writing, editing and proofreading documents.
- Experience presenting to boards, leadership teams and other key stakeholders.

- Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment with internal and external partners.
- Knowledge and application of current and evolving trends in marketing.
