Under supervision of the Chief Human Resources Officer will lead the training and organizational development processes & implementing and execution of the Talent Management strategy for the Association.  This role creates changes through developmental training, career management, workforce diversity, and/or strategic planning. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Leads the design and delivery of new employee training; including orientation and certification programs for the organization; Plan & implement training to support new programs & initiatives
  • Develops training schedules to educate staff on how to recognize, accommodate and appreciate individual differences and how these can be bridged back to assist in meeting Association goals and objectives.
  • Works with Team and Multi Team Leaders to plan and execute leadership development strategies. Aligns leadership development strategies with strategic goal and performance targets. Promotes and leverages regional leadership development programs. Inspires and leads change, drives for organizational improvements, and builds consensus amongst departments and branches
  • Using a variety of learning technologies and systems, designs need based training solutions with a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, on-demand videos, webinars and e-learning to support and sustain ongoing knowledge-building.
  • Coordinates with training staff, subject matter experts, instructors, event administrators, vendors and others to successfully prepare and deliver learning events.
  • Manages new employee learning tracks, scheduling, budget, communications and course information in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Measures, analyzes and improves on the impact and effectiveness of training and development programs; Oversee coordination of training schedule, dates, classroom logistics; Track, report and evaluate the effectiveness of training solutions and make changes to programs based on feedback; provide ROI analysis and recommendations; Evaluate the knowledge of class participants to determine training effectiveness and future needs
  • Maintain all training systems and databases; Prepare and present reports on expirations, training metrics, etc.
  • Facilitates training sessions; this includes nights and weekends; adjusting your schedule accordingly to maintain work/life balance
  • Ensure high quality service to staff (i.e., internal customers):  timely, helpful responses; accurate processing; proactive problem solving; prompt and reliable follow through.
  • Monitor the HR ticket system to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of HR support.  Monitor trends, and utilize the tools within HR to improve responsiveness to staff.
  • Assist with the development of volunteer management process and training
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5 years’ experience in Leadership Development; Project Management; and demonstrated success in a leadership role. 
  • Must have strong skills in attention to detail, including audit procedures.  Strong organization, planning, and follow through skills.  Includes managing projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbally. Bilingual a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise as a strategic leader with excellent problem-solving skills and proven ability to influence change.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and presenting to a group
  • Requires solid skills with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Judgment and reasoning ability to analyze and solve complex problems, satisfying compliance/policy, service, and efficiency requirements.  Must make sound independent decisions based on applicable laws, policies/procedures, and risk management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative on projects.
