The Role

In the past three months alone, the conservative super-majority on the Supreme Court has gutted the Voting Rights Act; effectively ended Roe v. Wade; blocked the pandemic eviction moratorium; forced the Administration to re-institute Donald Trump’s cruel “Remain in Mexico policy”; curtailed existing rights of workers to organize while laying the groundwork for future attacks on worker protections; and ruled in favor of a Koch front group to undermine transparency and enable dark money.

The movement for Supreme Court reform is at a significant inflection point, and Take Back the Court is hiring an Operations Manager to heighten our effectiveness at this critical time. We are looking for someone who can manage organizational operations, help us implement new processes and practices, manage contracts, assist with strategic planning and fundraising, and more. We are seeking someone passionate about our mission to expand the Court, who is also a self-starter, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable moving nimbly between projects and responsibilities. Previous experience in a fast-paced campaign/advocacy/government role is a plus.

Take Back the Court

Take Back the Court put the idea of Court expansion on the map in 2018, when no other organizations or leaders supported the idea. Since then, we have fought tirelessly to raise awareness about the urgent need to expand the number of seats on the Supreme Court. Without adding seats, Congress will not be able to ensure reproductive freedom, restore the right to vote, protect workers, halt our climate emergency, or pass new legislation. Court expansion, which can be accomplished without a constitutional amendment, is the only reform that enables the un-rigging of our political system and the restoration of democracy.
