NRDC is seeking a Schneider Summer Fellow to work with the Climate & Clean Energy and International teams in our SF office. This will be a Summer 2019 Internship.
NRDC is seeking a Fellow to work with its team focusing on analysis, report development, and advocacy to enable accelerated deployment of electric vehicles (EVs) across multiple regions including Asia, Latin America, and North America to help meet greenhouse gas (GHG), air quality, and petroleum reduction goals.
- The fellowship will provide an excellent opportunity to investigate major barriers and potential solutions to EV as well as charging infrastructure deployment.
- The fellow will work closely with regional international leads to develop city and state/provincial level plans to support EV-mobility, including but not limited to opportunities to expand the use of private, public, and shared electric vehicle and clean mobility solutions.
- The fellow may engage in research and analysis on the following subjects: policies to enable accelerated electricity and renewables deployment; sustainable models for charging infrastructure deployment; and evaluation of benefits related to air pollution, GHG emission reductions, and clean energy jobs. Work products may include stand-alone documents or memos that will be incorporated into NRDC reports, factsheets, blogs, briefings, and presentations.
- The Fellow will also likely have the opportunity to engage with other stakeholders and policy-makers.
