This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Administrative Director at the YMCA of Northern Utah oversees the integrity of data, collections, receivables, supervision of office staff, customer service and administration of programs offered in Weber County. The Administrative Director maintains an organized and effective office, to include facility management.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manages enrollment procedures, payment/receivables procedures, financial assistance, DWS enrollments, marketing efforts, retention plans for the programs in Weber County. Measures progress against strategic goals and ensures continuous improvement.
- Assures compliance with state and local regulations concerning programming and Childcare Licensing. Ensures that program standards and safety procedures are followed.
- Develops yearly budget. Meets, or exceeds budgets related to the position so that resources are devoted to top priorities and strategic objectives. Uses data to analyze financial trends.
- Responsible for oversight and integrity of the data processing and tracking. Ensures data is collected on, but not limited to; accounts receivables, financial reports, non-duplicated and duplicated enrollment, cost per kid hour, grant reports, YUSA reports, etc.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises administrative office staff and volunteers.
- Ensures high-quality customer service through innovative program development. Seeks ways to serve and involve internal customers and community participants. Builds and nurtures strategic relationships to enhance the support of the Y. Offers front line customer support as needed.
- Ensures facility is safe, clean and well maintained. Organize monthly inspections/checklist and drills. Ensure yearly facility equipment (fire and water) inspections are complete.
- Creates and maintains excellent relationships with community partners and businesses ensuring harmonious agreements on contracts, inspections, vendors, and program standards.
- Ensures YMCA vehicles are safe and maintained.
- Oversees general office duties and maintains an organized and effective office.
Educational Background:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Management, Communication, Human Services or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Experience:
- Commitment to, and passion for the YMCA mission. YMCA Team Leader certification preferred.
- Three or more years of management experience, preferably YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service.
- Computer Proficiency; Skilled in using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, desktop publishing software, database development & management, with keen ability to learn and adapt to software and technology.
- Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations with proven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others.
- CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
- Must be able to pass a background check with fingerprinting.

Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $36,000.00 - $43,000.00
