We have been serving Central Minnesota since 1969. In June, we partnered with the City of St. Cloud to open our new 106,000 sq. ft. full service Y including: 2 large pools, 3 basketball courts, 3 fitness studios, Kid Zone, 2 youth program studios, rock climbing wall and track. Our $3 million budget serves over 16,000 members and guests with expanded aquatic, wellness and youth programs.
The Head Swim Coach will oversee the YMCA Swim Team practices and meets, in line with the YMCA’s serving beginning to advanced competitive athletes. The St. Cloud Area Family YMCA has an amazing feeder program from swim lessons, to prep, to competitive swimmers, including national-caliber athletes. The Head Coach is expected to serve as a role model for the assistant coaches and the participants on the Swim Team, exemplifying integrity and the key characteristics we expect of our staff: Caring, Respect, Responsibility and Honesty. In addition, the Head Coach should be a mentor for sportsmanship and team spirit to participants on the swim team, while being able to foster skills and professional development of assistant coaches and skills of swimmers. This person should positively affect the operation of the branch.
