The YMCA of Superior California seeks a successful, visionary leader who will be visible in the community, maintain and build upon a culture of excellence within the organization, and lead the YMCA through a period of substantial growth
Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead the Staff Team: The YMCA seeks a “servant leader” who can inspire positive attitude and teamwork, while also encouraging and nurturing professional growth.
- Enhance a Culture of Philanthropy: Develop and implement a plan to amplify fundraising efforts to enable the YMCA to better serve the community.
- Advance Facilities Improvements: Lead fundraising efforts and collaborate with the Board, staff, members, and community to develop and shepherd capital development projects through completion.
- Implement Strategic Plan and Fiscal Management: Lead the organization to fulfill its mission while ensuring fiscal health.
Educational Background:
Accredited 4-year college degree.
Skills/Experience:
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in a senior management role with a YMCA or comparable organization.
- Experience in budgetary and fiscal management of organizations with assets of more than $4M annually.
- Proven ability to identify and develop community relationships.
Preferred Qualifications for Candidates:
- Strategic planning and fundraising experience, including annual campaigns, capital campaigns, and securing grants from a variety of available sources.
- YMCA Organizational Leader Certification.
Compensation/Benefits:
Hiring Range: $145,000 - $165,000 (salary commensurate with experience)
Benefits: Vacation plan, health plan, relocation reimbursement, 10% contribution to the Y Retirement Program, and other benefits.
