Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Maintain and support existing applications built on the Drupal platform ensuring site availability.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance Drupal development performed by outside agencies.
  • Architect high-end Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture.
  • Document Drupal module usage and custom code on existing sites and future site development.
  • Design and develop new web applications, forms, and content management workflows leveraging Drupal 8, maintain/enhance sites on Drupal 7.
  • Work with various business and technology teams on identifying business requirements and translating them to software features and requirements.
  • Work with front-end development team to implement HTML, CSS, and JavaScript based on website design.
  • Manage Drupal core security updates and module updates.
  • Engage in incident management, problem-solving and solution implementation.
  • Identify and report risks, issues, and dependencies of assigned tasks/projects.
  • Participate in change management and release management activities.
  • Participate in the test planning and perform testing activities as needed (including unit, integration, performance and user acceptance testing).
  • Monitor and perform regular site maintenance activities.
  • Work with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments (e.g. business development, database development, web designers, end-user training).
Educational Background: 
BA or BS degree required
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5+ years of experience with hands–on software development
  • 3+ years of experience with PHP
  • 2+ years of experience with developing Drupal Web sites and Web applications
  • Experience with implementing Web sites in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Experience with setting up and configuring Drupal sites, as well as converting sites from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8
  • Experience with designing and debugging applications
  • Ability to work independently
  • Member of Drupal.org
  • Experience working with RESTful Web Services
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing)
  • Experience with source control management systems, including Subversion and Git
  • Experience with the migration of existing CMS content into Drupal
  • Experience with a variety of Drupal modules
  • Experience with configuring users, roles, and permissions
  • Experience with programming languages, including PHP, SQL, Java, JSP
  • Fluency with HTML5/XHTML and CSS, providing consistent style and experience across platforms and browsers
  • Familiar with multisite structure
  • Ability to analyze requirements and formulate design in collaboration with project managers and other team members
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Acquia Cloud is a plus
