Senior Manager, Real Estate Operations

Role performs diverse, real estate portfolio project management and oversight for the department. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for Leukemia & Lymphoma, Real Estate portfolio transactional oversight for all locations, and support for management of key capital projects
  • Defines real estate strategies, and developing and providing departmental and executive updates
  • Manage the processes and negotiation of select real estate transactions including leases and subleases, extensions and renewals, site selections and reposition, early closings, resizing of existing spaces and other lease alterations
  • Provide support in defining and executing processes for real estate capital and operating budgeting and reporting, transaction management and lease administration analytics
  • Work closely with the Facilities and Field Operations teams to provide thought leadership to shape a cross-functional team in developing alternative workplace strategies that align with industry leading practices and the company's business needs, including technology solutions, workplace policies and guidelines, and space and occupancy optimization
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external service providers that provide current and accurate support of the real estate process
  • Coordinates resources, contractors and terms for location projects and office build outs
  • Management, tracking and reporting on all aspects of individual location projects
  • Coordinates the scheduling of resources and item ordering related to site services, construction, furniture implementations, maintenance, cabling, office equipment and delivery services
  • Administers select on-going programs and/or special projects as assigned by the department
  • Assists with maintaining assigned department and program records, files and databases
  • Coordinates department reports and conducts presentations as needed
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the field and campaign fundraising initiatives
  • Ability to periodically travel, for project site visits
Educational Background: 
2 to 4 years of College
Skills/Experience: 
  • 3-5 years administrative and real estate project experience
  • Knowledge of facilities and general management of facilities, related functions and projects
  • A general knowledge of construction, wiring and related procurement
  • Excellent MS Word, Outlook, Excel and database management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in business English, spelling, punctuation and grammar
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of standard business machines and computer software
  • Professional with sound judgment
  • Knowledge of software typically utilized for project management
