The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) currently uses Salesforce as the CRM for the Patient Access team, which is responsible for the direct delivery of Mission-related services to patients. The Salesforce implementation for Mission is in the process of being reengineered to better suit and provide further automation for the evolving business needs of the Patient Access team. In order to better support our growing Salesforce needs, LLS is looking for an experienced business analyst who is responsible for gathering and documenting the business requirements for minor to medium systems enhancements, defects, and assisting project managers on requirements gathering for larger initiatives. The business analyst also assists with the creation, and curation, of technical documentation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the non-profit environment and with the use of Salesforce. They will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, experience with multiple technology platforms, solid communication skills, work well within a team and across teams, and a desire to continue learning and strive for continual improvement. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Drive identification of requirements across business stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Determine, develop and document user requirements (in the form of user stories)
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all enhancements and defects have accurate and understandable user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Seek out cross-training and develop solid understanding of the company’s business and technical processes
  • Collaborate with and assist technical staff on documenting their solutions, ensure that all technical documentation is housed in a central and well-organized repository
  • Serve as thought leader for technical business processes; research, evaluate, and suggest solutions with respect to standards, industry best practices, and acceptance criteria, e.g. performs performance testing, requirements reviews, and documentation reviews
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field of study; or equivalent education, training & experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst (preferably working in the non-profit sector)
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce clouds (e.g. Sales, Service, Einstein and NPSP) or other cloud-based systems
  • Experienced in agile methodologies and reliability based modern software engineering and best practices such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills; process orientated
  • Be a good listener
  • Be dynamic and high energy with effective cross-functional communication skills across various teams, organizations, internal and external stakeholders, fostering relationships with everyone in the company
  • Be able to lead discussions around reported issues and desired enhancements, and capture the requirements for such changes in such a way that enables rapid and agile development of those solutions
  • Be able to participate in technical discussions, and effectively document decisions and design proposals made
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to all stakeholders, including those who do not have a technical background

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Must be able and willing to assume occasional on-call assignments related to off-hours system rollout work.
