We use Salesforce as the CRM for the Patient Access and Advancement teams and are looking for an architect with a passion for excellence who thrives in a fast-paced, high energy environment. As a member of the IT team you will work on Salesforce.org solutions that bring efficiency, collaboration, visibility, and an overall excellent user experience. As a key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for interpreting technical requirements, architecting solutions, testing, training, support, and overall improvement of the Salesforce platform. To accomplish this, you will partner closely with IT, mission and fundraising teams to understand process needs and provide automated solutions and metrics. You will possesses broad knowledge across multiple development platforms and draw on your skills and experience to assess customer requirements and architecture in order to design secure, high-performance technical solutions that maximize the potential of the Salesforce platform.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Work as part of multiple development teams to deliver full lifecycle SFDC implementations from inception to roll-out; be ready to roll-up your sleeves and be hands on when needed
  • Gather and understand business requirements, researching and ultimately providing technical solutions to fulfill the business needs at either a micro or macro level.
  • Design and document Salesforce solutions that encompass all layers of the Salesforce ecosystem, from data object designs, custom code, flows, processes, user interfaces to system integrations
  • Provide guidance to development staff on best practices (code standards, source code management, and design patterns) and novel approaches both through research, presentations, collaboration, and code review sessions.
  • Adapt to departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
  • Communicate complex information effectively to people who do not have computer knowledge and to answer questions as they arise, giving clear instructions
  • Active participation in departmental and project related processes (team meetings, scrum sessions, design sessions, etc…)
Educational Background: 
Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field of study; or equivalent education, training & experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • NPSP certification (Salesforce Certified Nonprofit Cloud Consultant) is a plus
  • 10+ years application delivery experience
  • 5+ years of experience developing Salesforce customizations (Apex/VF), integrations, and developing and executing data migrations
  • 2+ years of experience creating the technical architecture for complex Salesforce implementations
  • At least one of the following Salesforce certifications: Technical Architect, Application Architect, System Architect

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Must be able and willing to assume occasional on-call assignments related to off-hours system rollout work
