The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) currently uses Salesforce as the CRM for the Patient Access and Advancement teams. As a member of the IT team you will work on Salesforce.org solutions that bring efficiency, and an improved user experience to our organization. As a key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for interpreting technical requirements, architecting solutions, testing, training, support, and overall improvement of the Salesforce platform. To accomplish this, you will partner closely with IT, Patient Access and the Advancement Teams to understand process needs and provide automated solutions. You will possesses broad knowledge across multiple development platforms and draw on your skills and experience to assess customer requirements and architecture in order to design secure, high-performance technical solutions that maximize the potential of the Salesforce platform.
- Work as part of multiple development teams to deliver full lifecycle SFDC implementations from inception to roll-out; be ready to roll-up your sleeves and be hands on when needed
- Work with business and IT to identify the business needs and define the business and technical solution architectures to fulfill the business needs
- Understand business requirements and translate these into technical solutions based on the chosen platform
- Design and create the underlying data structure and data flows to support the application build
- Design and build web and mobile interfaces on the Force.com platform using Visualforce, Apex and other available tools
- A solid understanding of data modelling, data migration and both API and user interface development principles
- Perform code reviews and provide appropriate feedback and coaching to development staff
- Work with non-development staff on project teams to help ensure that projects and solutions are executed according to best practice
- A solid understanding of multiple environments, patterns and languages, especially including XML, HTML, Python, Ruby, Node, PHP, C#, SQL, JavaScript, JSON, and CSS
- Implement source code control processes and procedures
- Comfortable with a variety of development tools, including Force.com IDE, Illuminated Cloud, Ant migration tool, and others
- Technical writing and documentation experience a plus
- Experience with the NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) a plus
- Adapt to departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
- Demonstrate ability to communicate complex information effectively to people who do not have computer knowledge and to answer questions as they arise, giving clear instructions
- Knowledge of Agile development practices, particularly scrum and sprint-based delivery
- NPSP certification (Salesforce Certified Nonprofit Cloud Consultant) is a plus
- A minimum of 2 years of experience developing Salesforce customizations (Apex/VF), integrations, and developing and executing data migrations
- A minimum of 2 years of experience creating the technical architecture for complex Salesforce implementations
- 5+ years of experience defining, designing, delivering and deploying Salesforce-based technical solutions, in the capacity of accountable or responsible contributor
- At least one Developer Track Salesforce Certification (e.g. Platform Developer I or II)
- Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, and ability to present to a variety of audiences (executive to technically detailed audiences)
- Excellent leadership and management skills
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Must be able and willing to assume occasional on-call assignments related to off-hours system rollout work
