The office of Volunteer Engagement is dedicated to creating a highly engaged volunteer corps and dedicated staff of volunteer managers that helps LLS achieve its mission to end blood cancer.
Reporting to Teri Johnson, VP Volunteer Engagement, the volunteer Administrator will fill a time sensitive and critical role for this fledgling department.
This role can be fulfilled entirely at our national office in Rye Brook, NY, or virtually.
Areas of Responsibility:
Tasks and deliverables will include, but are not limited to:
- Review of existing volunteer documents for consistency
- Edit a set of existing documents to reflect a general volunteer “voice”
- Standardize role descriptions templates
- Create an onboarding packet reflective of staff and existing volunteer models
- Create infographics for volunteers
Skills/Experience:
The ideal volunteer candidate will possess the following skills/qualifications:
- Strong writing/editing skills
- Organizational though process
- Project experience
- Attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Word
