Human Resources supports the organization across multiple functions- hiring, performance management, employee relations, compensation & benefits, and learning & development. We are seeking a volunteer HR coordinator to support the daily activities within the HR team.

Areas of Responsibility: 

TrainingLLS will provide the volunteer with an orientation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in addition to the following training:

  • Introduction to LLS hiring and performance goals
  • Applicant Tracking System
  • LLS email etiquette

Responsibilities:

Reporting to Kendall Schmidt, Associate HR Business Partner, the volunteer HR Coordinator will provide staff support to the LLS Human Resources team. This role will require the volunteer to perform support tasks for our national team including:

  • Data/file entry and organization in Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews for hiring managers and their team for field/National Office
  • Track candidate pools
  • Compose and send candidate correspondence
Skills/Experience: 

The ideal volunteer candidate will possess the following skills/qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook (for scheduling and emailing)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities across multiple functions of the organization
