The Granite YMCA - YMCA of Strafford County located in Rochester, NH is currently seeking a dynamic education professional for the position of School Age Child Care Director.

The School Age Program Director will be responsible for the administration of the School Age Before and After School Program (SOP), and the coordination/implementation of the School Vacation Camps, full day and snow day programs and state licensed summer 10-week day camp program for the YMCA of Strafford County; with the assistance of the SOP Assistant Director. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

The School Age Child Care Director responsibilities include promoting and managing annual enrollments, financial oversight, staff hiring, training and supervision, and overseeing operations of the five program sites in the Rochester and Dover communities with a current enrollment of about 200+ children. The SOP Director will strive to cultivate a partnership with NH Child Care Licensing Unit and adhere to state licensing expectations, program Association curriculum guidelines and when needed, serve in a direct ratio care for the SOP and summer camp programs. 

Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Child Care or related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2-3 years supervisory experience of multi- site programs and 3 years of licensed childcare leadership experience. Candidate must possess strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills, a demonstrated ability to, build strong community partnerships, and possess strong financial management and technology skills. Additional knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook, a valid driver’s license, Current First Aid and CPR Certifications are also requirements of this position.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00
