Provide leadership and oversite to the of the YMCA Express at Gainsboro while creating and maintaining programs that fit the needs of the community.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Supervise and evaluate wellness group X instructors, membership staff, and program and wellness staff.
- Assure all staff are up-to-date with certification and training requirements.
- Conduct and ensure implementation of staff training and professional development.
- Create wellness schedule and manage welcome desk staff.
- Develop and cultivate community partners and prospective Y supporters.
- Develop, implement and evaluate community and in-house Y programming for branch based on branch goals customer demand.
- Scheduling branch events and managing branch calendar.
- Manage the maintenance of facility and grounds, working with Branch Executive to ensure a clean, safe and up-to-date branch.
- Processing and managing payroll for branch employees.
- Create and manage yearly budget, working with Branch Executive and Chief Financial Officer.
- Work collaboratively with other directors, coordinators and staff in the accomplishment of branch and association goals and objectives.
Skills/Experience:
- The Program Director should be enthusiastic, motivated to create high quality programs, and committed to the YMCA mission.
- At least two years’ experience in quality programing, wellness and/or healthy living is required, with at least one year of experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong relationship-building, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- The ability to plan, develop, organize, manage, prioritize and administer tasks is essential.
- Budgeting and computer proficiency, and administrative skills are required.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $33,000.00
