Provide leadership, support and oversight to the Membership Department at the Kirk Family YMCA.
Areas of Responsibility:
Essential Functions
- Recruit, hire, train, motivate, evaluate and manage part-time membership staff.
- Be a fixture at the Welcome Desks to support membership staff and develop relationships with members.
- Ability to move the environment of positivity and excellence forward to create the best member experience.
- Actively promote membership enrollment and ensure accurate and correct data entry of all membership paperwork.
- Assist in planning, facilitating and the implementation of promotions and special events.
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned, including but not limited to new hire paperwork, marketing, processing cancellations and notifying members of NSF.
- Effectively communicate the YMCA’s mission to the staff, members and community.
- Promote steady and escalating growth in membership and strengthened staff/member, member/member relationships.
- Facilitate prompt communication and response with members, prospective members, branch staff, and ARO.
- Flexible work schedule. May need to work opening/closing shift, weekends and holidays.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience:
The Membership Coordinator is enthusiastic and motivated to create a positive environment and a culture committed to the YMCA mission among the membership staff team. A minimum of two years’ experience in customer relations and experience in a supervisory role is preferred. Strong relationship-building, leadership, communication, computer, administrative, and interpersonal skills are necessary. The ability to plan, develop, organize, manage, prioritize and administer tasks are essential.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $30,000.00 - $32,000.00
