The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking an organized, detail-oriented and personable professional Finance Director.

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking an organized, detail-oriented and personable professional Finance Director to work in a leadership role preparing, analyzing, and presenting data related to the financial status of the organization. The Association Finance Director examines budgets and organizational growth, leads as the financial advisor for the Youth Development Branch, and makes recommendations to improve profitability throughout the organization. The competitive candidate will possess proven strategic planning, creative and critical thinking skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders.

Educational Background: 
A college degree in accounting/finance is required and a related graduate degree in finance or business administration preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • A minimum of five years in financial management required with proven strategic planning at a leadership level.
  • YMCA or non-profit experience is desirable.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines is essential along with the ability to effectively supervise staff and provide financial support and guidance to branch leadership in a multi-location environment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills needed. Organizational problem-solving, creative and critical thinking skills are mandatory.
  • The successful candidate will have substantial business awareness and can glean and interpret data. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint necessary. Must be able to work within tight deadlines and with a defined set of best practices.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00
