New Virginia Majority is seeking Organizers for an exciting social justice campaign that will work to expand the electorate in Virginia this autumn by turning out voters who support economic justice, immigration reform, and student loan reform.
Organizers will be responsible for communicating directly with voters, speaking with them about the importance of voting for candidates that support key economic justice issues, and ensuring that they plan on voting in November's election. Organizers will be responsible for inspiring in each voter the passion and understanding that only by voting, can we hope to see the kinds of reforms in Virginia that will strengthen the middle class, protect working families, and protect immigrants from persecution and discrimination.
Prior organizing or canvassing experience is preferred but is not required. Applicants must have access to a car a valid Driver's License. Part time schedules are available. Afternoon and evening hours are preferred working hours, but schedules can be adjusted to fit Organizers' needs. Hiring is occurring on a rolling basis and multiple positions are open.
Compensation is $15.00 an hour.
