The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and quality-focused director to take the YMCA's Adventure Guides Program to the next level. This father/child program has a long history within the YMCA movement and will require emotional maturity, high-level relationship building skills, and the ability to create and execute a vision for a large, multifaceted program. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • This position will require signficant weekend work, hands-on outdoor activity, and the ability to serve as the face of the program. The Adventure Guides Director will operate primarily out of the YMCA of Greater Richmond's Camp Thunderbird facility but will also require travel to other non-YMCA camp sites. Access to onsite living accomodations at Camp Thunderbird is negotiable. Primary responsibilities include engaging with dads and their children, assisting with the supervision of a large day camp facility, and ongoing program leadership and facilitation. Being present and father/child events is imperative. 
Educational Background: 
Must have a High school diploma or GED, college degree in related field preferred
