Oligo Nation is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and hands-on Development Director/Manager to partner with the founder to expand the organization’s reach and impact. The Development Director is responsible for implementing the mission through fundraising events and corporate, donor, and volunteer development. The person in this role will cultivate partnerships and alliances that promote growth and awareness within the community.
- Expand event and donor campaign efforts. Oligo Nation has three established annual events and is looking to add two more in 2023.
- Collaborate with the founder and partners to develop an overall outreach and communications strategy for the organization.
- Work with the team to execute cultivation, stewardship, solicitation/upgrade, and retention conversion strategies for donors and fundraisers.
- Oversee event management and execution and work closely with event production partners and volunteers. Support logistics as needed
- Manage donor data management and digital marketing platforms to support donor communication and fundraising efforts.
- 5+ years of experience in fundraising, event management, marketing, or related experience, preferably with some exposure to medical/cancer non-profits.
- Understanding fundraising best practices with a proven track record in revenue generation
- Ability to identify and develop new opportunities (events and campaigns).
- Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) necessary to communicate diplomatically and effectively with donors, sponsors, volunteers and partners
- Comfort with standard fundraising technology including CRMs, and online donor platforms (Classy and Virtuous experience a plus)
- Ability to travel to different cities within the United States including San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Phoenix, and Washington DC

This is a remote role with the opportunity to work from home with occasional trips to CA for planning meetings and other markets for events. Out-of-state candidates are welcome to apply.
