The COO is responsible to the CEO for the development, organization, promotion, supervision, innovation and evaluation of YMCA programs and staff leadership with emphasis on community-based programs.
The COO is responsible to the CEO for the development, organization, promotion, supervision, innovation and evaluation of YMCA programs and staff leadership with emphasis on community-based programs.
To develop a continually increasing standard of excellence as directed by the CEO in accordance with YMCA goals and policies in the following areas:
- Program Development: Leading a program staff team with emphasis on community-based programs along with association-wide efforts toward program innovation to meet community needs.
- Leadership Development: Leading and coordinating association-wide staff training and capacity building.
- Fiscal Management: Facilitate program budget development and monitor and manage income and expenses toward excellent stewardship.
- Community Relations: Identify, cultivate, establish and maintain essential partnerships in support of Y programs.
- Executive Function: Serve as CEO pro-tem in the absence of the CEO.
- YMCA Movement Promotion: Provide oversight and coordination of YMCA communication efforts toward promoting mission, membership and program.
This person must:
- Be strong in human relations with exceptional listening and understanding skills, the ability to maintain a mission-focused culture and exhibit solid decision-making skills.
- Have demonstrated coaching skills in program development and implementation.
- Have a history of establishing strategic relationships and building trust.
- Have proven fiscal management skills.
- Have an exceptionally high level of emotional intelligence.
- Be passionate about the YMCA mission and vision and must personally advocate and demonstrate the core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.
- Demonstrate solid leadership as demonstrated by a high level of loyalty and respect among those this person leads.

Salary: $71,000.00 - $76,000.00
