Coordinate the development, administration, supervision, delivery and evaluation of aquatic staff and Programming. This may specifically entail the aforementioned duties as they relate to swim lesson organization and safety and risk management. *Note this position works a schedule that includes Saturday.

- Assist in the recruitment of pool facilities.
- Assist in determining feasibility of pool usage relatively to safety, risks and capacity.
- Provide swim lessons, other class offerings, program descriptions and fees.
- Develop and coordinate pool schedules.
- Facilitate registration process.
- Obtain and maintain program supply inventory and disburse to instructors.
- Recruit, train and evaluate staff as needed.
- Coordinate staffing schedules.
- Adhere to all establish health, safety and risk procedures in order to create and maintain a safe work environment for participants.
- Work with the Program Director to market aquatic programs.
- Responsible for attending staff meetings/events. Demonstrate and teach the Character Development values of caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.
- Work in harmony and cooperation with the staff, volunteers and members of the YMCA to develop team spirit and family atmosphere.
- Maintain good public relations with members, programs participants, and their families; direct all major problems to supervisor.
- Be a member service ambassador, remaining abreast of current programs and facility schedules; being prepared to provide personalized direction to other services.

Education and/or Experience
- Experience with computers required.
Language Skills:
- Trained and well versed in Listen First, Support Change and Build Community Techniques would be desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, business reports, and procedure manuals as necessary.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before members or employees of the Association and the public is required.
- Bilingual ability is a significant asset.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to anticipate, identify and address members needs to ensure safety and enjoyment. To accurately complete all required paperwork. To professionally handle and or get help to resolve conflict. Ability to follow instructions as given and/or directed by supervisor.
Hourly: $12.00 - $15.00
