The Granite YMCA is currently seeking a Facilities Director to oversee maintenance and improvement operations at the Strafford County Branch in Rochester, the Seacoast Branch in Portsmouth and their respective day camps located in Rochester and Greenland, NH.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage the day to day activities of Facilities Department in keeping the buildings and grounds in good repair, clean and safe.
  • Manage department staff including hiring, training, annual performance reviews and productivity.
  • Maintain facilities at two YMCA Branches, two summer day camps and their associated pools.
  • Responsible for maintenance budget of branches and camps.
  • Responsible for tracking and managing department and staffing expenses to include overtime.
  • Manage and facilitate preventative maintenance programs for building equipment and facilities both operational and capital.
  • Report to Executive Directors of both the YMCA of Strafford County and the YMCA of the Seacoast and work closely with Camp Directors to maintain and enhance the properties.
  • Manage contractor and vendor contracts for building services, project scope and facilitation.
  • Complete weekly walk-through to evaluate cleanliness and safety, and provide weekly updates to both Executive Directors.
  • Ensure coverage of all maintenance/custodial vacancies within the department. Performs custodial duties as necessary.
  • Work with Association Facilities Director to ensure all physical and mechanical planned operations are maintained and contingency plans are in place.
  • Participate in Buildings & Grounds Committee and Safety Committee.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience in facilities management capacity
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Previous supervisory experience 
  • Possess diagnostic abilities and skills in completing details
  • Possess the mechanical skills necessary for accomplishing repairs
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00
