The primary responsibility of the Social Media and Digital Marketing Coordinator is to implement and coordinate the Oregon Chapter’s marketing content tactics by using multiple social media channels and our website to share the great stories of the conservation work we’re doing at The Nature Conservancy--and to inspire support. By growing and engaging The Nature Conservancy’s online community, the Social and Digital Marketing Coordinator will build awareness of, and engagement with, the organization. This role works closely with other staff in External Affairs and Conservation to help gather, create, post, and promote compelling content that drives engagement. Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and analyzing program/project processes and results and reports findings to the marketing team and external affairs department with the expectation of making recommendations for process/project or program improvements.
- Implements social and digital marketing tactics to grow and engage online community.
- Stays up to date on emerging digital and social trends and best practices.
- Coordinates projects and manages a timeline.
- Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.
- Interprets guidelines and analyzes information/data to inform social strategy.
- Works within a budget to complete assigned projects or work.

- Experience managing and publishing website content.
- Experience engaging online communities.
- Experience using analytics and scheduling tools to effectively drive results
- Experience organizing and coordinating projects.
- Experience writing, proofreading and editing marketing materials.
PREFERRRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
- Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
- Experience with web content strategy and content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager.
- Experience with email marketing systems such as Convio and Vertical Response.
- Creative, outside-the-box thinker and problem solver.
- Experience with graphic design, photography/photo editing, video production.
- Solid knowledge of word processing, database management and spreadsheet software, with ability to construct and produce reports, use mail merges and advanced functions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic application knowledge of project management principles.
- Practical application of marketing concepts.
Preferred hiring range is: $51,000-$54,400
