Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources and Payroll Coordinator works cohesively with the Human Resources department to provide excellent service with regards to Human Resources functions to the employees of the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette.
Provide organizational support to the Human Resources department, including payroll entries, and onboarding of employees and volunteers.
Areas of Responsibility:
- First point of contact for general employee questions
- Process new employee information in ADP Workforce Now (HRIS)
- Payroll support/backup - issuing manual checks, processing status changes, ongoing data entry
- Manage employee and volunteer onboarding process and documentation
- Perform file audits to ensure accuracy and completion of all required documents
- Run periodic reports and track information in Excel
- Respond effectively to unemployment claims
- Verify employment as requested
- Assist with preparation and follow up for training and onboarding
- Create, edit, and distribute employee documents
- Participate in Human Resources and Wellness Cabinets
- Participate in recruitment efforts when needed
- Support employee retention activities
- Maintain and manage current Human Resources and employee files and databases
- Administer exit interview surveys
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study
Skills/Experience:
- Two years experience in administrative/clerical office support
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Must pass YMCA background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now
- At least one year of administrative work experience in Human Resources or Payroll
- Professional Human Resources certification (PHR)

Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $14.00 - $17.00
