The Membership & Marketing Coordinator interacts in a friendly, courteous and professional way that results in excellent service for members, guests, volunteers and fellow employees. Responsible for membership recruitment promotions and campaigns. Establish positive, cause-driven relationships with area businesses to attract and retain participation in the Corporate Experience program. Oversee processes and systems that support member communication and retention. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Assists in the implementation of membership strategies that support recruitment of new members and retention of existing members.  Supports a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions. Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Conducts cause-driven tours that are focused on designing a membership experience based on the prospective members goals. 
  • Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members.
  • Plan and implement member recruitment campaigns targeted at specifid audiences, including corporate partnerships.
  • Working with staff throughout the YMCA, coordinate all components of the member engagement process, from the initial phone call, the cause-driven tour, member processes and retention strategies, and terminations. Responsible for monitoring goals, metrics and procedures. 
  • Develop and coordinate events, presentations and promotions designed to build internal and external relationships. 
  • Participate as a key member of the YMCA's Healthy Living and Membership team. 
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on marketing, public relations, or business administration is preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Qualified candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred candidate will be self-motivated and an enthusiastic team member.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks. He/She must carry out the mission and goals of the YMCA.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Hourly: $10.75 - $15.38
