This senior leadership position is accountable to lead all operational activities for the Plaistow Community YMCA including membership, wellness programs, camp, sports and adventure, teen programming and administrative services, as well as working with the Childcare Operations Director to support early education and school age child care.

Areas of Responsibility: 

This role is critical to ensuring that the Plaistow Community YMCA strengthens the communities it serves and supports the mission, vision and values of the YMCA. Key accountabilities include: providing day to day direction and support for all operations at the Plaistow Community YMCA to ensure all budgetary and non-budgetary commitments are met, reviewing current membership and program offerings to determine which programs provide the best engagement and net impact, ensuring schedules best meet community needs and interests, and developing and implementing recruitment, retention and recapture strategies to increase revenue. The successful incumbent will have the proven ability to establish and implement a business plan, prepare and manage a budget, develop financial and operational mitigation plans, leverage success to maximize impact, build and manage teams, and assist in leading local fundraising efforts.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree is required
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful operational leadership experience, including management and supervisory experience
  • Positive history of leadership in the areas of: volunteer and staff development, operations and financial management, strategic planning and execution, and community and donor cultivation
  • Experience in marketing and managing a mission-driven organization
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills
  • The ability to conceive, develop and implement innovative program offerings aimed at increasing engagement
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
Compensation/Benefits: 

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00
