The Gymnastics Director is expected to manage, develop, implement and enhance programs for youth sports, adult leagues, and camps; train, schedule and supervise staff and volunteers; provide support and encouragement to assist students in learning YMCA programs; ensure safety and cleanliness of the program area and adherence to all YMCA safety standards and rules.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Management of the day-to-day operations of the Gymnastics Programs and Gymnastics Team ensuring that the program complies with YMCA policies and procedures, program quality and safety standards.
  • Set overall direction and curriculum for classes, practices and meets, providing direct service to ensure program quality and safety standards.
  • Provide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn in YMCA programs.
  • Develops, implements, and manages operating plans to promote program growth. Measures progress against goals, and ensures continuous improvement.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with class participants, parents, volunteers, and coaches.
  • Reinforce the YMCA value or Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility through example and recognition of participant displays of character.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3-5 years’ experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $30,285.00 - $38,000.00
