As a Program Director you will be responsible for research, development and implementation of opportunities for members in community-based settings to help members achieve their individual goals. The Program Director supports other staff as needed, runs daily program operations and maintains quality of program activities. The positions ensures implementation of ADS policies, procedures and budget, and maintains positive relationships with members, families, and staff. The position reports to the Executive Director. Starting pay is $19/hr with opportunity for merit and budget based increases on a minimum annual basis. The position is full time with flexibility of partial remote work after training period.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement new and meaningful employment and day program opportunities for members.
  • Initiate and plan monthly calendar (menu, outings, cooking classes, volunteer opportunities, etc.) with member and staff participation.
  • Develop positive relationships and maintain open communication with members, families, coworkers, and community partners.
  • Ensure staff coverage and day-to-day programmatic schedules are followed.
  • Document achievements or challenges daily on member progress notes and participate in member planning meetings.
  • Be knowledgeable of DDD contract requirements and ensure daily adherence to DDD and ADS policies and procedures.
  • Maintain budget and tracking of expenditures and transactions, recognizing ways to increase efficiency and presenting solution ideas to the Executive Director.
Educational Background: 
High school diploma or GED
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in day program or similar service
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid level one fingerprint clearance card
  • Current first aid/CPR certification
  • Current Article 9 certification
  • Clean 39 month driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Compensation/Benefits: 

Hourly wage starting at $19.00/hour
