Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Supervise and oversee group fitness, pesonal training, sports staff/volunteers and all operations of the healthy living and sports department
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to promoting healthy living and sports programs
  • Impact the lives and health of each member each day
  • Provide direct service as a personal trainer a minimum of 10 hours a week and as needed for group fitness clasess and sports acitivites

Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation or equivalent experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • A passion for heatlh and fitness or sports
  • Current certifications in YMCA Healthy Lifestyle Principles, Foundations of YMCA Group Exercise and/or YMCA Personal Training Instructor, CPR, First Aid
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience in health and fitness and/or sports program
