This newly created association-wide position is a tremendous career opportunity for someone looking to lead successful operations for a growing $30 million dollar organization with over 10,000 members.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensuring programs and services meet community needs to include supervising existing program activities, establishing new programs, and expanding the program withinthe community as needed.
- Serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Cabinet, ensuring delivery of high quality outcomes for Youth Development and Childcare programs.
- Ensuring the delivery and growth of quality programs and the effective use of resources including staff, volunteers and equipment within established budget.
- Ensuring staff excellence in service delivery to assure program retention, satisfaction and growth and financial targets.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory licensing standards including but not limited to Department of Education and all VOS YMCA policies and procedures as it relates to your development programs.
- Administering program budget, materials, communication, marketing and promotions to ensure optimum enrollments.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive staff development plan that has a focuses on staff satisfaction and continuous quality improvement. Ensure staffing complies with regulatory requirements.
- Inspect program sites regularly for proper supervision, safety, cleanliness and compliance with program requirements.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree
Skills/Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a leader in Youth Development. Preferably as a Director or Senior Program Director overseeing multiple sites or programs.
- Experience with the budgetary responsibility of $1 million or higher, preferred.
- Proven record of accomplishment in program revenue growth and sound financial management skills to monitor financial projections, budgets and assessment of program effectiveness.
- Experience in staff supervision, committees and in providing leadership to groups.
- Ability to recruit, train, schedule, supervise and motivate staff.
- Knowledge of licensing and risk management standards in regards to childcare.
