This new association-wide position is a tremendous career opportunity to own the successful healthy living operations for a growing $31 million dollar organization with over 70,000 members.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Ensuring the successful operation of our healthy living department, which includes group fitness, personal training, wellness floor operations and wellness programming.
- Inspiring, leading and connecting our healthy living staff to our Association’s strategic goals and priorities.
- Using defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – including daily branch gate visits, group fitness attendance, child watch usage, etc. to drive member retention, member and staff engagement, customer service and achievement.
- Collaborating with branches to deliver high quality group fitness offerings and schedules that will attract new and retain our existing members.
- Driving consistency, service and safety in our branch wellness floors.
- Developing our personal training offerings and staffing structure to ensure profitability, consistency, results and quality.

- A minimum of eight years of management experience with a minimum of three years of multi-center experience preferably in a YMCA, other not-for-profit agency or profit Fitness operations.
- A focus and experience in delivering high quality customer service, engaging health & wellness staff and achieving results.
- Your ability to direct the total healthy living operation through indirect supervision of staff, monitoring of branch budgets, marketing and public relations, and program development.
- A consistent record of leading high level healthy living programs and services, with a large focus on group fitness and profitable personal, small group & functional training that meets the wants, needs and interest of the membership base.
- A creative and passionate perspective on the health & wellness industry.
- A record of accomplishment in operational excellence and driving results through others.
- A work ethic and determination emphasized on achieving results – and willingness to support a department and organization that is not a 9am – 5pm job.
- A certification as CPT, ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSF, NFPT, AFAA.
Salary: $72,003.58 - $80,000.00
