Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop internal and external creative content, both design and written.
  • Assist in the design and production of compelling print and digital materials in accordance with YMCA brand strategy and style guidelines.
  • Assist with writing and editing, consistent with our company’s tone and voice.
  • Assist in developing content for email marketing, campaigns, blogs, press releases, newsletters, and other
  • Proof and approve any staff-created collateral.
  • Manage multiple, varied projects with complex timelines and production schedules.
  • Provide and enforces quality control standards for art file management, pre-press processes and project archiving.
  • Monitor brand compliance in all communications.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, media, journalism or related field.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a creative coordinator or graphic designer.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver).
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates evidence of design and writing abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Non-profit experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of industry standard pre-press print production protocols.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and SEO best practices a plus
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and manage several projects at once.
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to self-direct and work independently on assigned tasks.
