Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Monitoring and Results Management (MRM) Specialist, Market Systems & Entrepreneurship. HFHI’s Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter works to catalyze housing markets to improve quality housing outcomes for low-income households. This is achieved through facilitating affordable housing markets to work better for low-income families by increasing products, services, and financing for affordable housing.

The MRM Specialist is responsible to support the Market Systems program in the Asia Pacific region with the implementation of a robust results measurement system, including facilitating and contributing to program design processes and assisting program staff with MRM related aspects of development and project implementation. The MRM Specialist will also contribute to staff and partners capacity building efforts. This position will be based in either Philippines, India, or Bangladesh.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Coordinate the development of project frameworks and process for the market systems and entrepreneurship projects
  • Support the implementation of MRM systems, including conducting field research
  • Support the market systems and entrepreneurship team in developing and or reviewing data collection tools & methods for adequate monitoring and evaluation of performance
  • Coordinate development, review and submission of monthly and quarterly project reports
  • Coordinate the regular review of performance data to assess progress towards annual performance targets and objectives
  • Integrate with HFHI's organizational systems such as the Global Matrix Tool, annual and strategic planning processes.
  • Develop and execute capacity building plan of TCIS AP staff on monitoring and evaluation
  • Work with other regional subject-matter experts, participate in regional and global initiatives, and share knowledge and innovation with national organizations and colleagues
  • Represent TCIS in appropriate forums/seminars/workshops whenever required
Educational Background: 
Bachelors Degree in social science, international development, or studies in results measurement/research
Skills/Experience: 
  • Masters/post graduate degree in project management or related fields is a plus
  • Five years’ relevant experience applying MRM knowledge or similar field with progressively increasing responsibility
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative methodological approaches
  • Experience with field-level project management
  • Knowledge of statistical programs
  • Entrepreneurial. Works well in dynamic environments with limited resources
  • Agile. Prioritizes tasks and redirects work effort in response to new opportunities and changes in priorities
  • Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to develop and manage good relationships between the project, private sector, government and other stakeholders
  • Quality and results oriented. Demonstrated attention to detail, highly organized and able to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously and within deadline
  • Communication and presentation skills in English (written and oral) with strong report writing skills
  • Advanced skills with Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint and other MS-based office platforms
  • Ability to train others or take complex concepts and distill them down
  • Knowledge of market systems development programs
