Develop and manage Membership and Wellness programs that are responsive to member needs. Provide leadership to the management of Membership and Wellness Teams. Participate in the cultivation and development of relationships that build member, staff and volunteer involvement. Participate in fundraising through annual support, special events and third-party sources. Identify opportunities for programs that meet financial and service objectives. Cultivate relationships with community leaders to ensure program effectiveness. Administer program budget, materials, communication, marketing and promotion.
- Creates a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Implements membership strategies that support retention of existing members, fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction.
- Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members. Coordinates program registration, including logistics to support phone, walk-in, and web registration. Coordinates with marketing efforts to maximize enrollments and provides ongoing support to Program Directors on related issues.
- Organizes membership events at the YMCA and represents the YMCA at community events to promote the YMCA.
- Effectively plans, executes, achieves and reports on strategies that support new member recruitment and ensures that sales, terminations, net and membership revenue goals. Develops plans that should detail specific actions towards membership recruitment, membership sales, and membership development strategies and objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all Membership and Wellness programming including staffing, ordering and maintenance of equipment, cleanliness and cleaning schedules, and inventory management.
- Develop and deliver high quality Sports and Camp programs that meet the needs of the community.Ensure quality program delivery and effective use of resources including staff, volunteers and equipment within established budget.
- Manage the development, promotion and delivery of high quality programs that are responsive to member needs
- Ensure adherence to association safety standards and YUSA program standards. Ensure staff training and certifications are current. Ensure delivery of high-quality programs that exceed member expectations.
- Produce an annual budget that is aggressive but attainable. Maintain your programs within this budget.
- Establish plans and projections for programs and projects. Prepare detailed cost-benefit analysis of programs, monitor financial indicators and member feedback to assess program effectiveness.
- Conduct staff meetings, with each program area, either monthly or every session. Provide notes and attendance to document.
- Work with the facility supervisor to insure overall facility cleanliness.
- Recommend new and replacement of program equipment as needed.
- Participate in and actively recruit volunteers for branch committees and task forces.
- Provide branch coordination to all departments to ensure successful communication, special events and program growth.
- Maintain knowledge of Association policies and procedures, risk management, safety practices and applicable laws.
- Coordinate/train volunteers that work specifically in areas of assignment.
- Actively campaign for the Annual Campaign and work to develop donors and volunteers.
- Lead by example at all times. Interact with a high level of professionalism and accountability.
- Serve as a member of the management team and Leader on Duty for the facility.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
- Experience in developing and monitoring financial projections, budgets and assessment of program effectiveness.
- Experience working with voluntary boards, committees and in providing leadership to these types of groups.
- Experience meeting membership revenue targets and driving new membership goals in a health and wellness-focused organization.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience, fiscal management experience and proven ability to manage successful programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to relay instructions in a clear and precise manner, and ability to relate to a diverse age and cultural membership.
- Experience in grant writing and/or the grant writing process preferred.
- Ability to operate a computer, communicate via telephone and ability to endure significant physical activity.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working various hours and days including nights and weekends.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence.
Salary: $38,920.00 - $53,170.00
