Senior Program Director, Membership & Wellness

Oversee and manage the facility operations and personnel in group exercise and in the wellness center for delivering effective member services.  Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in: recruiting, training, and scheduling staff; budget development and adherence; program promotion; program retention; maintaining strong positive relationships with local senior centers and corporations; program inventory and supplies; and development of new programs/activities for YMCA members.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education, Recreation, or related field,
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2-4 years practical experience in aquatics, sports and/or health and fitness related position, or have a comparable level of expertise, CPR Pro Rescuer, First Aid and Oxygen certification.
  • Obtain Y-USA current national certifications in family programming.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, participate in youth and adult sports, arts and humanities programs, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to relay instructions in a clear and precise manner, and ability to relate to a diverse age and cultural membership.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience, fiscal management experience and proven ability to manage successful programs.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $38,900.00 - $53,200.00
