Center City District is seeking a motivated and organized candidate to join our team as our Marketing Coordinator to coordinate the marketing and events in CCD-managed parks and public spaces, along with office plaza programs and other CCD related events. Marketing Coordinator assists marketing team in developing event concepts and marketing plans, planning events and coordinating event logistics. Working onsite at events will be a significant part of coordinator position. Evenings, weekends and early mornings are expected, coordinated in conjunction with other staff members. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Manager of Marketing & Events and Senior Director of Marketing & Events in recommending, developing, and implementing events and programs to ensure the successful animation of CCD managed parks (Dilworth Park, Collins Park, Sister Cities Park and Cret Park). Includes working onsite in the parks during events.

  • Source vendors and entertainment, proof collateral, fulfill sponsorship packages, offer suggestions for promotional plan.

  • Work with café operators to coordinate their event participation.

  • Organize and maintain various project timelines.

  • Assist Senior Director of Marketing and Events as needed with other programs and events outside of parks. This includes, but not limited to CCD and CPDC meetings and programs.

  • Enter and maintain up to date and timely information on internal and external website event calendars.

  • Organize and develop distribution lists; Maintain existing distribution lists.

  • Manage inventory of event supplies at various CCD locations.

  • Maintain stock of CCD brochures and assist with brochure distribution and disposal.

  • Oversee maintenance and organization of brochure/event supply storeroom. 

  • Oversee onsite public event surveys.

  • Assist in collection of ads, event results and other documentation for sponsorship reports and ad book.

  • Act as back-up for the digital team as needed, including but not limited to assisting the team with content creation and updating the website, designing and transmitting email newsletters, creating recap reports and helping source event information and photos, including at events.

  • Assist with miscellaneous projects and tasks, as needed.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent from a four-year university
1-2 years marketing experience preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Ability to follow written/oral directions; Work independently;

  • Prior experience in an office setting or team structure preferred;

  • Work cooperatively with others;     

  • Ability to operate cross functionally and manage competing perspectives diplomatically;

  • Strong understanding of current digital communications and marketing trends, strategies and best practices;

  • Interest in public spaces, a vibrant downtown, events, marketing and communications a plus;

  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships;

  • Can work evenings, weekends and early mornings as needed;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strict attention to detail and grammar;

  • Ability to operate cross functionally and manage competing perspectives diplomatically;

  • Skill at computer use, proficient in the following programs: Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop;

  • Extensive  experience with email marketing software, familiarity with MailChimp is a plus;

  • Experience  with HTML and FTP practices is a plus;

  • Knowledge of photography and video editing;

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM experience is a plus.

 

Must be able to work in the office 4 days a week, 1 day remote.

Compensation/Benefits: 

$45,000-$50,000 per year
