Provides administrative support for chapter operations and additional staff as required. Answer main phone line and email inbox, maintain chapter calendar, greet visitors, assist with deliveries and vendors, and provide assistance to chapter staff and projects as needed.

Additional Position Information The Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter is seeking an organized and personable administrative assistant to serve as the chapter’s first point of contact. Receptionist duties include answering the chapter’s main phone line and email inbox, providing basic information and forwarding incoming calls and emails to appropriate staff, greeting and directing visitors, deliveries, and vendors. Administrative assistant duties include supportive tasks with all fundraising campaigns and Donor Development.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route calls.
  • Meets and greets visitors as necessary.
  • Provide administrative support to the department including word processing, excel and reports.
  • Administer select on-going programs and/or special projects as assigned by the departments.
  • Maintain assigned department and program records, files and databases.
  • Maintain chapter calendar and room reservation requests.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the field and campaign fundraising initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
High School diploma, College degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 

Experience Requirements: 

  • 1-2 years administrative experience 

Position Requirements: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including email, calendar and contacts
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal and written
  • Ability to work well with all levels of staff, management, vendor, BOD etc
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of standard business machines and computer software
  • Professional with sound judgment
