Join a growing Y located on 57 acres in the heart of Peoria, IL who is committed to expanding its capacity and reach across Central IL!

Provides leadership to all Youth, Teen & Family programming, including Youth Sports programs and clinics, and all Teen and Family Engagement programming, playing an integral role in membership acquisition, engagement, and retention.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Plans, develops, implements and supervises all family engagement, including but not limited to regularly scheduled family nights, healthy kids day and other community engagement opportunities.
  • Plans, develops, implements and supervises all youth sport programs, camps, and clinics with a focus on an integrated program strategy that supports membership engagement and retention.
  • Plans develops, implements and supervises all teen programs, evaluating new program activities to expand the reach within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans, including but not limited to sports and youth and government programming. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
  • Provides quality service and communication to members and program participants and ensures an excellent Y program experience for all participants.
  • Strategically recruits volunteers, including training and development and overall program growth and quality.
  • Manage and train staff in accordance with Association and program policies, for safety and quality.
Educational Background: 
BA/BS in Sports Management/Recreation/Health Sciences or related field preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Two years of experience working in a Y (or similar) membership organization.
  • Proven results in increasing program quality and growth through exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated with the consistent ability to meet or exceed goals, while cultivating and retaining program participants.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and develop effective relationships with program prospects and others to achieve goals.
  • Consistently self-driven and goal-oriented with the ability to set effective team and individual goals and take ownership for results.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt to changing contexts and priorities.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify and leverage relevant data to use in planning and decision-making.
  • Ability to understand, adapt to and interact with diverse people, teams, perspectives and cultures.
  • Proficient in using email, Internet, and other PC-based applications with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00
