The Membership Director will supervise daily operations of the membership team at the Bear Levin Studer Family branch, providing the resources, materials, and data needed to ensure that the branches meet or exceed their membership sales and service goals. This position will serve as the role model for all membership staff of active listening, member onboarding, mission-driven tours, customer service and use of best practices to drive member recruitment, retention and recovery. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Works with senior leadership to develop annual membership sales, service goals, while monitoring budget
  • Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates the Membership Data Manager, Membership Specialist, and all Welcome Center team members
  • Leads membership team in enrolling new members into Mobile Fit system as part of onboarding process. Ensures all Welcome Center team members are effectively using Mobile Fit to drive member satisfaction and retention, based on branch goals. Works closely with Wellness Director for coordination of Mobile Fit system across departments
  • Conducts ongoing training and models membership best practices for all team members
  • Tracks data and produces reports to drive membership goals. Reviews and utilizes data and reports provided by the Membership Data Manager to support these efforts
  • Manages acquisition of new corporate partners and serves as primary point of contact for all Corporate Partnership Plan participants, responding to inquiries, visiting prospects, handling setup and billing, and fulfilling requests for corporate benefits
  • Develops annual Marketing/Promotional Plan and Member Appreciation Plan under the direction of supervisor. Implements this plan, making adjustments as needed
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Current CPR/AED certification required during employment
  • YMCA Team Leader preferred
  • Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Daxko prefered 
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $33,589.00 - $41,986.00
